High-tech Veterinary Services right in your home

The Champlain Valley Small Animal Mobile Clinic (CVSAMC) began serving Addison County, Vermont in October 2001, although Dr. Ross began his mobile veterinary career in 1989 when he developed the first mobile clinic in Vermont.
Many of the technological advances that can be applied to a mobile veterinary setting have been embraced by Dr. Ross. CVSAMC is a paperless practice with on board computers and printers.
All vaccines and medications are properly stored in our refrigerator to ensure their purity and potency. Our microscope allows us to check ears and urine for infection, check skin for mites or other ectoparasites and allows us to screen suspicious lumps for malignancy.

Advanced Blood Work in our Mobile Clinic

With just a few drops of blood, we are able to evaluate a complete blood count of white blood cells and red blood cells, check blood chemistries to rule out liver, kidney, thyroid or other metabolic diseases. We are also one of the few clinics capable of immediate coagulation profile results critical for the treatment of suspected rodenticide exposure. Just think, what used to take days, now just takes minutes.
All client and patient information is securely stored by CVSAMC and in the clouds using Carbonite backup.
When you call during working hours, you will always speak to a person, not to a machine. If Deb, our veterinary receptionist, is speaking with someone, your call will be automatically transferred to our answering service which then contacts Deb to ensure a prompt return of your call. You will also meet Deb on Thursdays when she is "on the road" assisting with appointments. Most times, however, you will see Lynda driving the van, carrying in the table or scale, holding the animals and giving a cheerful hell-o and goodbye.
We are proud to have a friendly and respectful relationship with all the local veterinary hospitals. We are also thankful to have several referral veterinarians at our disposal for advanced diagnostics and the Burlington Emergency Veterinary Service (BEVS) available for weekend, holiday and overnight emergencies.
